Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States, limited to Texas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Washington. International relocation and remote work outside the US are not considered. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship.

Salary: $156,000–$186,000 base per year, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Build and ship dependable agentic AI and LLM-backed features in client environments.
• Own an engagement workstream from understanding the client problem through delivery and documentation.
• Integrate AI systems with legacy cores, governed data, identity systems, and existing infrastructure.
• Develop evaluations, guardrails, runbooks, and handoffs that enable clients to operate the systems independently.
• Collaborate directly with client engineers, Senior Forward Deployed Engineers, and Product Managers.
• Deliver production systems that meet functional, compliance, audit, and explainability requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of shipping production software used by other people.
• Fluency in Python and/or TypeScript, with experience across the stack, a major cloud platform, containers, and CI/CD.
• Experience integrating with complex real-world systems and data rather than only building greenfield applications.
• Ability to hold technical discussions with client engineers and work directly with them.
• Experience with banking, lending, or payments is strongly preferred, including collaboration with risk and compliance teams.
• Current and future US work authorization without immigration sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM and agentic systems, including RAG, agent frameworks, vector stores, and evaluations.
• Experience taking AI through model-risk or security review in a regulated organization.
