Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States, limited to Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington. International relocation and remote work outside the US are not considered. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship.

Salary: $194,000–$224,000 annually, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Own the technical execution of client engagements from discovery and architecture through production delivery.
• Lead discovery conversations and translate executive business problems into defensible technical architectures.
• Choose integration patterns and technical tradeoffs for client constraints, including legacy and governed systems.
• Build and ship full-stack production software, with hands-on delivery of LLM and agentic systems.
• Guide Forward Deployed Engineers, review their work, and raise engineering quality.
• Deliver production-grade evaluations, guardrails, observability, and documentation that support handoff and audit.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience shipping production software, including hands-on delivery of LLM and agentic systems.
• Experience with RAG, agent frameworks, vector stores, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Strong full-stack development experience, primarily with Python; .NET or Node and React or Next.js are acceptable alternatives.
• Depth across the technology stack and a major cloud, with sound architecture judgment under real-world constraints.
• Experience leading discovery, making scoping decisions, communicating with executives, and leading a small engineering team.
• Experience integrating AI with legacy and governed systems; banking, lending, payments, risk, compliance, or regulated AI review experience is strongly preferred.
