Hardware Architect Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Luxembourg; elastic hybrid model with 3 days per week from the office.

What you will do

• Analyze hardware stakeholder requirements and coordinate with customer and internal stakeholders.
• Decompose requirements into architectural blocks, I/O interfaces, system requirements, and design items for hardware, mechanical, validation, and manufacturing teams.
• Create product definition documents and manage product changes.
• Develop requirements for embedded test software, functional test plans, hardware test setups, and test benches.
• Perform functional hardware bench testing and support environmental, electromagnetic compatibility, customer, and validation testing.
• Support manufacturing changes and participate in structured problem-solving activities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in automotive electronics or e-mobility hardware.
• Strong understanding of embedded hardware systems and system-level architecture design.
• Experience with hardware testing, validation environments, and stakeholder management.
• Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and RCA.
• Fluent English required; German or French is an advantage.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AIAG/VDA FMEA and ISO 26262.
