Airframe Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) Senior Engineer

What you will do

• Lead complex fatigue and damage tolerance analysis work packages for primary airframe and fuselage structures.
• Establish technical guidelines, approve stress dossiers, and mitigate engineering risks.
• Define structural validation and certification strategies with chief engineers, airworthiness authorities, and design teams.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and ensure consistent technical quality across the team.
• Drive advanced simulation, Python-based automation, structural health strategies, fleet investigations, and complex repair validations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary trade studies with design, manufacturing, and test teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in aerospace, mechanical, or structural engineering.
• Several years of experience in fatigue and damage tolerance, including related processes, methods, and tools.
• Experience leading technical work packages, managing stakeholders, and mentoring engineers.
• Deep proficiency with FEA platforms such as HyperWorks, Nastran/Patran, or Abaqus, plus custom methodology development.
• Fluent English required as the working language.
