IT Business Analyst (Banking/Payments)

Location: Hybrid work from Gdynia, Gdańsk, Warszawa, or Łódź, Poland, with three days per week from the office.

Salary: 800–1,050 PLN per day on a B2B contract.

What you will do

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document strategies aligned with target architecture and long-term objectives.
• Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements and maintain end-to-end traceability throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Prepare use cases, process descriptions, requirements specifications, architecture diagrams, and other documentation.
• Work with architects, developers, testers, business representatives, and legal stakeholders during implementation.
• Verify delivered solutions, review test results, and provide stakeholders with insights into solution effectiveness.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in IT analysis, business analysis, or a related role.
• Excellent written and spoken English is required.
• Experience working in international environments.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge of API development, data mapping, process modelling, UI prototyping, and sequence diagrams.
• Practical knowledge of SQL and experience in banking, preferably in the payments domain.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with banking regulatory requirements.
• Practical experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
• Knowledge of single-payment and multi-payment systems.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native architectures.
