Senior Data Platform Engineer

Salary: DKK 800,000–1,100,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate scalable data platform services, backend systems, and self-service tooling.
• Develop infrastructure supporting high-throughput, reliable data flows for hirify.global’s advertising business and internal hirify.global Commons platform.
• Work across distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, observability, reliability, and automation.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and downstream data consumers.
• Build secure, maintainable, cost-efficient, and reusable systems that are easy for internal teams to adopt.

Requirements

• Strong production experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems, backend services, or data platforms.
• Strong backend and systems engineering skills, including service design, API design, debugging, and production operations.
• Understanding of scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and operational trade-offs in distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure, container orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability.
• Professional English proficiency is required for frequent written and verbal communication with colleagues and partners worldwide.
• Work visa or immigration sponsorship is not available, and relocation support is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with data-intensive platforms, pipelines, streaming systems, storage layers, or analytics infrastructure.
• Experience with privacy, security, compliance, and cost-efficiency in large-scale platform environments.
• Experience applying AI or agentic tooling to engineering workflows.
