OTR Mobile Unit Driver (CDL)

Location: United States; preference for candidates near Hanover, Maryland, with consideration for candidates elsewhere in the US. Requires 100% travel throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Salary: $60,000–$68,000 per year

What you will do

• Transport remote equipment and studio trailers safely and on schedule to assigned event locations.
• Plan economical routes and operate company-owned or leased trucks across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
• Set up and tear down support trucks and trailers before and after events.
• Perform inspections, stock supplies, and arrange preventative maintenance and repairs through local Penske facilities.
• Assist technicians with installation, operation, repair, fault finding, and servicing of BSI systems, equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and software.
• Complete required Department of Transportation documentation and comply with DOT regulations.

Requirements

• Five or more years of over-the-road experience driving commercial vehicles.
• Valid CDL Class A license, clean driving record, and current DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to drive CDL Class A and B vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions, including 18- and 10-speed manual trucks.
• Familiarity with Department of Transportation reporting requirements.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform heavy manual work in varying weather conditions.
• Availability Monday through Sunday on an as-needed, on-call basis with 100% travel.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience repairing and installing electronics.
• Experience interacting with client technical and production staff at remote events.
