TL;DR
AV Solutions Architect (Commercial AV): Designing and supporting audio-visual systems for customer projects with an accent on requirements gathering, system architecture, proposals, BoMs, schematics, and rack layouts. Focus on coordinating CAD and project management teams, integrating systems with building trades, managing RFIs and change requests, and troubleshooting implementations.
Location: Hybrid role based in London, England, United Kingdom

What you will do
- Gather customer requirements and use cases with sales personnel to provide pre-sales technical support.
- Design commercial audio-visual systems using appropriate products and technologies.
- Prepare proposals and bills of materials, including correct product selections and quantities.
- Coordinate with CAD and project management teams on general arrangements, mechanical and electrical drawings, elevations, schematics, and rack layouts.
- Coordinate system integration with building trades, contractors, manufacturers, and distributors.
- Manage RFIs and change requests, maintain project documentation, provide post-sales support, and assist with troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience and industry training.
- 5+ years of experience in the commercial AV industry, including system design and/or commissioning installations.
- Thorough knowledge of commercial AV products and systems across audio, video, control, and IT.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for explaining complex technical concepts to customers.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid role based in London, United Kingdom.
Nice to have
- Dante, CTS, or other technical certifications.
- AutoCAD drawing experience.
- Experience with audio and video interfaces, standards, and AVoIP technology.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.
