Electronic Security Lead Technician

Location: Onsite work at client and construction sites in Milwaukee, Mt Pleasant, and Chicago, USA

What you will do

• Lead and supervise installation technicians while performing hands-on electronic security system installation.
• Build racks and enclosures, terminate panels, install and IP devices, and test and troubleshoot completed systems.
• Interpret project drawings, matrices, BOMs, SRDs, and DIV28 specifications for complex system designs.
• Manage job schedules, materials, inventory, site readiness, redlines, RFIs, and project documentation.
• Coordinate daily with project managers, site supervisors, clients, contractors, subcontractors, and other trades.
• Identify equipment, drawing, labor, and technical issues and make independent onsite decisions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 3 years of recent hands-on experience installing access control and video surveillance cameras in large-scale commercial environments.
• Experience supervising, training, and coaching other technicians.
• Ability to install and troubleshoot access control, CCTV, intercom, IP camera, network interface, and electric locking hardware systems.
• Experience with Genetec, Avigilon, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Honeywell, Software House, Bosch, or DMP systems, plus Teams, Outlook, OneNote, Bluebeam, and Adobe Reader.
• Clean driving and criminal records, ability to obtain local security clearance or registration, ability to travel regularly, and ability to work on ladders and lift up to 40 pounds.
