Design Engineer (Digital Experience)

Location: Hybrid role based in Kenilworth, New Jersey, USA, with 3 days virtual and 2 days in-office each week; travel to project sites nationwide is required, generally up to 25%.

Salary: $99,100–$134,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and engineer digital signage and digital experience solutions covering media players, displays, video walls, dvLED walls, CMS platforms, content distribution, networking, control, and monitoring.
• Define system concepts and requirements, evaluate technology options, and recommend solutions aligned with project scope and client standards.
• Develop or oversee bills of materials, system descriptions, wiring diagrams, rack elevations, cabling assemblies, and construction documentation.
• Coordinate engineering tasks, deliverables, schedules, project milestones, and escalations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support installation and coordination with architects and other trades, then test, configure, commission, and reconcile deployed subsystems.
• Complete as-built documentation and provide technical support during project build and handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in digital signage, experiential technology, or workplace conference solutions.
• Demonstrated success completing engineering projects and meeting deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving, technical troubleshooting, communication, time-management, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work 2 days per week in the Kenilworth, NJ office and travel to project sites.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use a personal vehicle for local travel are required.

Nice to have

• Enterprise digital signage, experiential technology, and workplace collaboration design experience in complex environments.
• Knowledge of UC platforms, room standards, audio DSP, microphones, cameras, control systems, AV-over-IP, BYOD/BYOM, room scheduling, monitoring, and enterprise device management.
• Understanding of project phases from conceptualization and schematic design through construction documentation, construction, and commissioning.
• Experience with construction processes, installation, integration, architectural drawings, and construction specifications.
