Vice President, Structured Finance – Consumer ABS

Location: New York, United States; hybrid work with four days in-office each week

Base salary: $113,308–$178,794.66 annually; 30% annual incentive target

What you will do

• Lead analysis and rating of new consumer ABS transactions, including collateral, structural, operational, legal, and cash flow analysis.
• Serve as lead analyst, present recommendations to rating committees, and defend analytical conclusions.
• Assess collateral performance, underwriting, servicing capabilities, consumer credit trends, and macroeconomic developments.
• Evaluate credit enhancement and transaction performance under a range of stress scenarios.
• Engage with issuers, bankers, investors, servicers, legal counsel, and external market participants.
• Author presale and rating reports, research publications, and market commentary while contributing to methodologies, analytical tools, and team development.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in structured finance, consumer ABS, securitization, credit investing, transaction structuring, ratings, surveillance, or consumer credit risk.
• Direct experience analyzing, structuring, investing in, monitoring, or rating consumer ABS transactions.
• Strong understanding of collateral performance, transaction structures, credit enhancement, legal frameworks, and cash flow analysis.
• Ability to form and defend independent credit opinions using quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, including experience presenting to senior stakeholders or decision-making committees.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with auto loans and leases, credit cards, unsecured consumer loans, point-of-sale finance, marketplace lending, student loans, or specialty consumer finance.
• Experience with structured finance cash flow models, Intex, or related analytical tools.
• CFA, FRM, or an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.
