Senior Manager, Maintenance & Reliability (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Cranford, New Jersey, United States; onsite at the operations facility

Salary: $130,000–$145,000 annually, plus annual bonus

What you will do

• Plan, schedule, and supervise reactive and preventive maintenance activities for the manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution site.
• Lead, train, and develop a team of four maintenance technicians.
• Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
• Analyze equipment performance, lead root cause analysis and FMEA, and track maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, preventive-maintenance compliance, and downtime.
• Manage parts inventory, maintenance spending, vendors, contractors, operational budgets, and capital investments.
• Lead equipment upgrades, reliability improvements, automation initiatives, energy-efficiency projects, audits, and cross-functional continuous-improvement work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience in reliability, maintenance engineering, or a similar role within food manufacturing, distribution, or a related industry.
• Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance planning.
• Familiarity with predictive-maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous-improvement methods including Lean and Six Sigma.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, financial, safety, and food-safety skills; experience supervising or leading a team is preferred.
