Line Maintenance Quality Control Inspector (Aviation)

Location: Fort Lauderdale Airport, United States; onsite line maintenance environment

Salary: Up to $39.00 per hour starting pay, based on experience and established criteria. A $2.00 shift differential applies for work from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

What you will do

• Administer Quality Control policies and conduct surveillance of line maintenance activities.
• Perform Required Inspection Items, receiving inspections, engine borescopes, and NDT inspections.
• Monitor workmanship, materials, tools, equipment calibration, and compliance with Breeze and FAA standards.
• Support the Quality Control, Required Inspection Item, Receiving Inspection, NDT, and Safety Management System programs.
• Recommend maintenance program, work specification, tooling, and inspection improvements based on recurring discrepancies.
• Report safety, quality, and schedule issues to the Manager of Quality Control and Chief Inspector while coordinating with maintenance, engineering, quality assurance, and operations teams.

Requirements

• Current, valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license with no history of infractions.
• At least five years of aviation maintenance experience, including three years in quality control, quality assurance, or inspection.
• Working knowledge of FAR Parts 43, 65, 91, 121, and 145.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Must hold a valid passport with no travel restrictions and be able to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge.
• Must pass DOT drug testing, TSA fingerprint-based criminal history screening, and a company background check; must be available for days, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and travel of up to 30%.

Nice to have

• At least two years of management or leadership experience.
• Degree in aerospace, aviation maintenance, or business.
• Ten years of FAR Part 121 air carrier aircraft maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of Safety Management System rules.
