Aircraft Inspector V - Deploy Only (Aerospace)

Location: Shalimar, Florida, United States; requires extended OCONUS deployments on an approximate 60/60 rotation.

What you will do

• Provide expert oversight for aircraft inspection activities.
• Act as a subject matter expert on complex compliance issues.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for inspection processes.
• Maintain complete and accurate inspection documentation.
• Mentor and train inspectors at all levels.
• Develop and maintain advanced inspection protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification.
• Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, parts, and inspection procedures.
• Ability to deploy to OCONUS operating locations, meet DoD and Combatant Command requirements, pass a pre-deployment medical assessment, and work an approximate 60/60 rotation.
• Current valid passport and ability to obtain an international travel visa; applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government authorizations.

Nice to have

• Prior lead experience and experience mentoring or guiding subordinates.
• Knowledge of 14 CFR Chapter 1 and FAA Repair Station operations.
• Inspection Authorization designation.
• Experience with first article inspections, aircraft modifications, or FAA conformity inspections.
• Aerospace and defense, U.S. Department of Defense, or U.S. military experience.
