Principal Product Manager, Privacy, Health (AI)

Location: Redmond, United States

Salary: USD $142,800–$274,800 per year across the U.S.; USD $188,000–$304,200 per year in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.

What you will do

• Partner with health engineering, product, and clinical stakeholders on privacy decisions across product experiences, user flows, defaults, and sensitive data use.
• Define and prioritize privacy controls for health AI scenarios, translate them into engineering requirements, and drive implementation.
• Lead privacy design reviews covering data handling, model behavior, transparency, and user choice.
• Own data governance expectations for collection, use, sharing, retention, and deletion across the health product lifecycle.
• Monitor health and data policy developments and drive product, engineering, and program improvements.
• Establish repeatable privacy patterns, tooling recommendations, governance metrics, and engineering enablement practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in product, service, or program management or software development, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience.
• 4+ years of practical experience creating and maintaining compliance programs and conducting privacy reviews.
• Experience translating privacy and policy requirements into shipped product controls with engineering partners.
• Experience with health privacy, health policy, health data governance, and regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR.
• Experience leading ambiguous, cross-functional work and communicating with engineering and executive audiences.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Experience leading privacy or compliance engineering programs for AI/ML products or data-intensive platforms at scale.
• Experience with data flow mapping, data classification, consent infrastructure, threat modeling, DSR tooling, retention enforcement, and telemetry governance.
• IAPP CIPP or CIPM certification.
• Team and project management experience on medium-to-large-scale projects, including scope, schedule, and budget management.
