Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Wound Care)

Location: 25 N. Winfield Rd., Winfield, Illinois; hospital outpatient ambulatory clinic with inpatient rounding at CDH and Marianjoy. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; no call, weekends, or nights.

Salary: USD 61.00–79.67 per hour

What you will do

• Provide direct wound care in hospital outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Conduct health histories, physical examinations, comprehensive assessments, and clinical evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage health problems within clinical privileges.
• Prescribe or order medications, therapies, laboratory tests, imaging, and procedures.
• Educate patients, families, staff, and external groups about care and clinical specialty topics.
• Collaborate with physicians and other disciplines while participating in quality improvement, research, committees, and student mentoring.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing or physician assistant program.
• Current Illinois licensure and applicable APRN or Physician Assistant certification are required.
• Acute care certification is required for APRNs; inpatient NP experience may be accepted instead.
• Eligibility to obtain a controlled substance license and DEA number after licensure.
• Credentialing and privileging through the hirify.global Medical Staff Office.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
