Senior HR Generalist – Muskegon

Location: On-site in Muskegon, Michigan, United States; expected travel up to 10% for site travel, team meetings, projects, and kaizens.

Annual salary: $90,000–$120,000, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Partner with site leaders and associates to improve the employee experience, assess associate sentiment, and support action planning.
• Advise leaders on performance management, employee relations, policy interpretation, and complex or sensitive associate matters.
• Support investigations, separations, audits, and legal or compliance requests with HR service delivery, legal, and employee relations teams.
• Resolve non-standard HR cases by navigating systems, data, policies, and cross-functional resources.
• Drive local HR projects, process improvements, policy harmonization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, in HR operations, shared services, employee relations support, or a related HR specialty.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and judgment skills with the ability to resolve complex HR issues independently.
• Ability to coach and influence people leaders on sensitive matters and promote self-service and case management practices.
• Experience using cross-functional systems and data to resolve issues and deliver measurable process improvements.
• Ability to work on-site in Muskegon, Michigan, United States, with up to 10% travel.
