AI Experience Designer

Location: New York or Pittsburgh, United States. Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the home office and be in the office as directed. Frequent travel to client sites is expected, with approximately 50% travel.

First-year base compensation: $122,400–$136,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end product design workstreams from problem framing through high-fidelity execution and delivery.
• Design usable, elegant, and scalable digital experiences for enterprise environments.
• Develop and contribute to design systems, including components, patterns, tokens, accessibility standards, responsible AI practices, and documentation.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research and apply usability insights, analytics, and experimentation to design decisions.
• Use Figma and AI-native or AI-assisted tools to research, prototype, iterate, and document solutions.
• Collaborate with strategy, product, engineering, AI, and client stakeholders while communicating trade-offs and business impact.

Requirements

• 1–4 years of professional experience in product, UX, or experience design.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong interaction design, visual craft, structured problem framing, systems thinking, and shipped or production-level work.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, auto layout, variables, prototyping logic, Dev Mode, and structured handoff workflows.
• Advanced experience with AI-native and AI-enabled tools such as ChatGPT, Lovable, Figma AI, and Replit.
• Understanding of human-centered design, usability, WCAG fundamentals, responsive and cross-device design, and real-world product and technical constraints.
• Strong English communication skills and willingness to travel approximately 50% based on client and project needs.

Nice to have

• Experience designing enterprise, B2B, or complex transactional systems.
• Experience contributing to design systems at scale.
• Familiarity with experimentation frameworks, product metrics, and data-informed iteration.
• Knowledge of Cursor or V0.
• Experience in client-facing, consulting-style, or high-expectation environments.
