Software Development Engineer - Agent Factory (AI)

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Hybrid Flex Work requires spending at least 50% of each quarter in the office or in the field with customers, prospects, and partners.

Base pay range: CAD 112,000–168,000 per year, depending on location, experience, skills, duties, and business needs. The role may also include a bonus or commission plan and annual refresh stock grants.

What you will do

• Build AI-powered agents that integrate deeply into HR and Finance workflows.
• Implement tooling strategies and integrate AI-driven solutions into the hirify.global technology stack.
• Own multiple platform areas from development through production using a “you build it, you run it” approach.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners to deliver scalable products.
• Share knowledge, mentor teammates, and contribute to iterative engineering practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience with a web development framework; Python with Flask, Django, or FastAPI is preferred.
• 1+ year of experience with React and TypeScript for frontend or full-stack development.
• 1+ year of experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience with SaaS products in cloud environments, preferably AWS, and familiarity with modern distributed-system architecture.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, Docker, Kubernetes, and Elasticsearch.
