Building Engineer - Consultant - Madrid

What you will do

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life-safety, HVAC, and control systems.
• Inspect building systems and equipment to ensure safe operation, environmental compliance, and performance within design capabilities.
• Support preventive maintenance programs, extend equipment service life, and complete emergency repairs.
• Maintain energy management programs and improve the efficiency of building systems.
• Follow safety, environmental, hazardous-material, quality, and operational policies.
• Coach colleagues, share technical knowledge, and contribute to consensus-building across related teams.

Requirements

• High school, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of job-related experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, stooping, and lifting or carrying loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to analyze multiple sources of information and exercise sound judgment.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, inquisitive, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Local certifications or licenses may be required; Universal CFC certification and prior shift management or supervisory experience are preferred.
