What you will do
- Study braid wire and advance braid design theory.
- Revise engineering calculations to better predict hose performance.
- Develop mathematical models and validate them against physical test results.
- Apply analytical modeling, programming, spreadsheets, and material science knowledge.
- Work cross-functionally through mentorship and technical advisement.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States.
- Currently enrolled in a four-year technical degree program in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science.
- Graduate student, senior, or junior academic standing.
- Strong academic and analytical modeling skills.
- Ability to develop mathematical theory validated by actual test results.
- Strong programming, Excel or Google Sheets, and material science knowledge.
Nice to have
- MATLAB experience.
- Python experience.
- Statistical and data analysis skills.
