Staff Technical Program Manager (Industry Vertical - Healthcare)

Location: Seattle, WA; McLean, VA; or remote within the USA. Periodic travel to customer locations is required.

Salary: $200,000–$230,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead healthcare AI programs from customer discovery and use-case definition through implementation, validation, production launch, and operational transition.
• Partner with clinical, operational, IT, security, executive, and customer stakeholders to understand workflows, data environments, integrations, and success measures.
• Translate ambiguous customer needs into scope, requirements, milestones, ownership, dependencies, decision points, and measurable exit criteria.
• Coordinate delivery across product, engineering, AI/ML, platform, infrastructure, security, legal, compliance, and customer teams.
• Manage dependencies involving EHR systems, APIs, identity and access management, clinical protocols, data access, cloud or on-premises infrastructure, and third-party systems.
• Drive AI governance, phased validation, launch readiness, executive reviews, and reusable delivery playbooks for the healthcare portfolio.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technical program management, product delivery, engineering program management, healthcare implementation, or a related field.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional software or platform programs from ambiguous discovery through production adoption.
• Experience delivering technology in healthcare, life sciences, or another highly regulated environment involving sensitive data and formal approvals.
• Strong technical fluency across software architecture, APIs, integrations, data flows, cloud infrastructure, identity, security, testing, deployment, and production operations.
• Ability to influence decisions and drive accountability across multiple teams without direct authority, while communicating with engineers, executives, customers, and domain experts.
• Willingness to travel periodically to customer locations for discovery, validation, governance reviews, and production launches.

Nice to have

• Experience with EHR implementations or integrations, including Epic or Oracle Health/Cerner.
• Knowledge of FHIR, SMART on FHIR, HL7 v2, CDS Hooks, interface engines, and healthcare APIs.
• Experience with PHI, HIPAA, BAAs, audit logging, customer-managed environments, and healthcare AI governance.
• Familiarity with AI agents, LLM applications, RAG, guardrails, evaluations, workflow orchestration, and model observability.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, secure enterprise delivery, or startup and forward-deployed engineering environments.
