Systems Engineering Manager, SLED (West)

Location: Remote in California, Oregon, or Washington

Annual base salary: $156,100–$257,600 USD, with potential incentive pay and/or equity.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of pre-sales Systems Engineers supporting enterprise accounts.
• Drive operational excellence, technical demand validation, and effective team support.
• Develop customer-focused sales strategies and translate business requirements into innovative storage, cloud, and data solutions.
• Provide technical leadership across storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and DAS, NAS, and SAN environments.
• Guide RFI and RFP responses and support interoperability, functional, and performance testing.
• Track market and competitive trends while promoting technical thought leadership and roadmap planning.

Requirements

• 5+ years of management experience leading high-performing Sales Engineers selling to enterprise accounts.
• 10+ years supporting sales of storage, networking, or systems solutions for large accounts and data centers.
• Strong understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing architectures.
• Knowledge of storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN, plus cloud-native architecture, on-premises systems, public cloud, provisioning automation, and containers.
• Knowledge of VMware, local area networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
• Technical degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
