Payroll Partner - Analyst (Workday)

Salary: $6,143.67–$8,830.25 CAD monthly

What you will do

• Provide Tier 2 support for payroll systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and resolve problems affecting users and operations.
• Analyze payroll processing, accounting data, integrations, variances, and trends to maintain data integrity and identify irregularities.
• Improve payroll and finance processes through business analysis, process re-engineering, system modifications, and technology-based solutions.
• Calculate complex payments and wage recoveries, and support payroll accounting for overpayments, arrears, and retroactive payments.
• Lead and coordinate projects, business cases, schedules, KPIs, system upgrades, and improvement initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
• Provide guidance, training, documentation, and technical direction to payroll staff, managers, system users, and Financial Operations stakeholders.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and completion of at least 7 of the 14 CPA academic prerequisites.
• At least two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage high volumes and critical deadlines, and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel, with the ability to understand complex training and business process documentation.
• Commitment to respecting diverse perspectives and developing knowledge and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Nice to have

• Post-secondary degree in accounting, finance, business, or business analysis.
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification or Certified Payroll Manager certification.
• Previous experience with Workday Financial Management and familiarity with ServiceNow.
