Senior IT Category Manager

Location: Remote Flex in North Carolina/the United States, with a few required in-office visits each year; onsite expectations depend on distance from the Durham headquarters.

Salary: $89,174–$142,679 per year, plus an annual incentive bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop sourcing strategies for IT hardware and, as appropriate, software and services.
• Plan and conduct sourcing events, including RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, evaluation criteria, work plans, status reporting, and performance metrics.
• Analyze market dynamics and total cost of ownership to identify optimization opportunities.
• Lead complex vendor negotiations and resolve contractual issues with Legal, Compliance, Audit, Risk Management, and business stakeholders.
• Manage supplier relationships, vendor business reviews, annual vendor plans, performance, compliance, and risk assessments.
• Develop procedures, training, specifications, and recommendations for process and policy improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree where required.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field, or 7+ years without a degree.
• Experience sourcing and negotiating IT contracts covering hardware, software, and services.
• Experience with vendor management, sourcing strategies, procurement, negotiations, compliance, and risk management.
