TL;DR
SoC Validation Engineer (Digital SoC/Automotive, Industrial, Networking, and IoT): Validating complex System-on-Chip products through pre-silicon emulation and silicon testing with an accent on test planning, interface validation, automation, and hardware debugging. Focus on characterizing silicon across process, voltage, and temperature variations, solving failures with cross-functional teams, and validating PCIe, USB, Ethernet, CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, and MIPI interfaces.

What you will do

  • Develop validation plans and test content for IP, subsystems, and full-chip functionality.
  • Bring up, execute, and debug tests across pre-silicon emulation and physical silicon.
  • Characterize silicon across process, voltage, and temperature variations.
  • Build validation environments, test frameworks, and automation scripts.
  • Debug hardware issues with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, and JTAG debuggers.
  • Analyze failures, identify root causes, support qualification and reliability testing, and communicate validation findings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in SoC validation, emulation, or silicon validation.
  • Strong knowledge of digital design, computer architecture, SoC architectures, ARM-based processors, and ARM assembly.
  • Experience with C, Linux, and Python, Perl, or Shell scripting.
  • Experience with industry-standard interfaces and protocols, including PCIe, USB, Ethernet, CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, and MIPI.
  • Knowledge of hardware debugging, FPGA prototyping, board-level validation, and laboratory equipment, combined with strong analytical and communication skills.
