Principal Advanced SVT & FA Engineer (Hardware Validation)

What you will do

• Lead advanced system validation for server, storage, networking, and infrastructure platforms.
• Design and execute validation plans covering functionality, performance, reliability, scalability, and operational readiness.
• Debug hardware, firmware, BIOS, BMC, operating system, and system-level issues using logs, telemetry, crash dumps, diagnostics, and test data.
• Lead root cause investigations, fault isolation, corrective actions, and cross-functional resolution of critical defects.
• Develop automated validation tools, diagnostic capabilities, reliability metrics, and reporting mechanisms.
• Support hardware bring-up, platform integration, technology introduction, architecture reviews, qualification, release, and deployment readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in system validation, failure analysis, hardware engineering, firmware engineering, or related technical roles.
• Deep expertise in server platforms, system architecture, hardware validation, and firmware interactions.
• Experience with root cause analysis, failure analysis methodologies, reliability engineering, qualification testing, stress testing, and product release processes.
• Experience with diagnostic tools, monitoring platforms, log analysis utilities, hardware debugging equipment, and automation using Python, Shell scripting, or similar languages.
• Experience supporting hyperscale, cloud, enterprise data center, or high-performance computing environments, with the ability to lead complex cross-functional investigations.
