TL;DR
Senior Financial Analyst - Transportation Finance (Transportation Finance/Financial Analysis): Supporting USA transportation and operations leadership through financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and cost-performance optimization with an accent on freight costs, operational metrics, and transportation network efficiency. Focus on preparing close and variance analyses, maintaining analytics systems, validating forecasts, and translating transportation data into actionable recommendations for senior leaders.

Location: Hybrid role based out of the office in Mexico City, Mexico

What you will do

  • Conduct routine and ad hoc transportation analytics across modes, lanes, carriers, regions, cost centers, and operating metrics.
  • Partner with senior transportation and operations leaders to analyze freight costs, volumes, rates, productivity, service levels, and network efficiency.
  • Prepare month-end close summaries, variance analyses, and executive-ready financial commentary.
  • Support forecast loading, assumption coordination, result validation, and planning-system updates.
  • Design and streamline reporting and analytics using QuickViews, OneStream, Tableau, BW, and Excel.
  • Support annual budgets, forecasts, and projects that improve transportation finance processes and operational performance.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent professional experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • 3–5 years of progressively responsible finance experience required, preferably in transportation, supply chain, distribution, logistics, or operations finance.
  • Strong Excel skills, including charts, graphs, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
  • Experience preparing month-end close summaries, forecast updates, variance analyses, and financial commentary for management or executive audiences.
  • Experience with OneStream, QuickViews, Tableau, BW, SQL, or other analytics and reporting tools is beneficial.

Nice to have

  • CPA or CMA designation.
  • Financial experience in chemicals, distribution, transportation, logistics, or related industries.
