What you will do
- Maintain standard manufacturing cost files for products manufactured at the Durango location.
- Prepare management reports covering labor, materials, overhead, sales, orders, backlog, inventories, and operating costs.
- Investigate budget and production variances, including labor, overhead, non-productivity, and scrap.
- Prepare monthly cost-of-sales calculations, operating-margin reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and inventory-change calculations.
- Establish and evaluate labor and overhead rates and update annual cost standards.
- Support internal and external audits, cost-accounting controls, and special projects.
Requirements
- Three to five years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of IMMEX import and export operations or procedures.
- Basic knowledge of Mexican tax laws and invoicing requirements under Mexican law.
- Basic knowledge of cost-center control environments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP; IBM Planning Analytics knowledge is preferred.
- Ability to work full-time at the Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexico location.
