Director, AI Transformation

Location: Hybrid role based at the headquarters in Downers Grove, Illinois, United States

Salary: $180,000–$210,000 per year, plus eligibility for incentive pay.

What you will do

• Own the AI portfolio value scorecard and finance-verified benefits certification process for savings, EBITDA, cash impact, and ROI.
• Convert prioritized AI use cases into scoped transformation projects with enterprise-grade charters, milestones, success metrics, and resource plans.
• Lead value and cost analysis for buy, build, or blend technology decisions and support executive investment decisions.
• Confirm value, governance, security, legal, privacy, and enterprise-readiness criteria before initiatives deploy or scale.
• Coordinate AI, data, engineering, IT, governance, legal, security, procurement, and business teams through pilot, scale-up, stabilization, and business ownership.
• Manage AI vendor relationships, statements of work, pilot terms, contracts, costs, and commercial follow-through.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA, quantitative advanced degree, CPA, or equivalent analytical credential is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in finance transformation, value realization, transformation, or AI and digital program management.
• Direct experience building, defending, and certifying financial value cases and underwriting savings with Finance.
• Strong knowledge of governance, accountability frameworks, risk and controls, responsible AI, and data governance.
• Experience leading across IT, data, and centers of excellence without direct reporting authority, including vendor and contract management.
• Executive-level communication skills and experience presenting value and risk to C-level executives and investors.

Nice to have

• Experience in a private-equity-backed transformation or value creation environment.
• Experience with enterprise AI and data platforms and the economics of scaling AI from pilot to production.
• Chemical distribution, industrial distribution, or comparable B2B sector experience.
