Senior Director, PMO Strategic Portfolio Management & AI Innovation

Location: Hybrid role based at the Bridgewater, New Jersey headquarters, with remote work most of the time and in-person collaboration as needed; occasional domestic travel of approximately 10%.

Salary: $214,000–$292,000 annual.

What you will do

• Design and implement AI-enabled portfolio reporting frameworks that automate data collection, analysis, visualization, and performance monitoring.
• Develop predictive modeling tools, analytics dashboards, standardized KPIs, and governance processes for portfolio reporting.
• Lead AI-driven portfolio strategy, prioritization, resource allocation, and data-based decision-making initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate PMO processes using AI and machine learning.
• Develop and maintain portfolio analytics platforms that support real-time decision-making.
• Manage complex strategic projects and coordinate work across business development, program management, commercial, regulatory, medical, technical operations, clinical development, and finance functions.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in business, engineering, data science, life sciences, or a related field.
• 10–12 years of experience in strategic planning, portfolio management, or management consulting, including at least 5 years in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Experience applying AI and machine learning to business strategy, portfolio management, reporting, or analytics.
• Strong understanding of drug development processes, pharmaceutical business models, data analytics, predictive modeling, business intelligence, and reporting platforms.
• Technical experience with Python or R, SQL, Tableau or Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams or SharePoint.
• Experience with portfolio reporting, performance measurement, executive communications, and cross-functional strategic leadership.

Nice to have

• MBA or advanced degree in data science, AI/ML, or a related technical field.
• Experience in respiratory diseases, immunology and inflammation, neurology or neuroscience, or rare diseases.
• Knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch, or cloud-based machine learning services.
• PMP or similar certification.
• Experience with portfolio optimization, resource allocation, business intelligence, data visualization, or automated reporting systems.
