Facultative Claims Technician (Reinsurance)

Location: Hybrid in Witham, United Kingdom, with home working for 2 days per week and office-based work for 3 days per week

What you will do

• Manage an assigned facultative reinsurance client portfolio and take responsibility for technical account and claims duties.
• Work with Client and Market Fiduciary teams to assist with the collection of funds.
• Manage brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e-trading, post-booking receipts, payments, and related transactional processes.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and support end-to-end client account administration.
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, clients, and markets.
• Participate in training and help troubleshoot facultative service-processing activities.

Requirements

• Insurance or reinsurance experience and an interest in developing a career in reinsurance.
• Competent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical or numeracy skills and the ability to manage workload and expectations.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to team and departmental training.
• Ability to work from the Witham office 3 days per week under the hybrid arrangement.

Nice to have

• Technical experience working for an insurance broker.
• Experience with London Market systems such as CLASS, ECF, and IMR.
• Exposure to reinsurance linked to facultative placements.
• General claims experience.
