Complex Claims Field Consultant (Internal Loss Adjuster - Major Loss)

Location: West London and surrounding areas, United Kingdom. The role is remote but requires customer home visits and frequent travel to sites in Halifax, Leeds, and South Wales for events and training.

What you will do

• Manage customer visits and remote claims handling to deliver effective outcomes.
• Conduct site work, assess customer vulnerabilities, and create action plans in line with health and safety controls.
• Manage multiple complex claims across different perils and claim types, driving each case toward resolution.
• Inspect properties and analyse data, photographs, videos, and other evidence to validate and settle claims.
• Coordinate with building contractors, suppliers, and Complex Claim Owners on repairs, valuations, and customer expectations.
• Develop technical claims, customer management, and workload planning skills within the Complex Claims Unit.

Requirements

• Full and current driving licence required.
• At least 2 years of general insurance claims experience with detailed knowledge of insurance policies and claim-handling principles.
• Insurance claims qualifications such as CII or CILA, or willingness to obtain them.
• Awareness of health and safety requirements for site work.
• Strong knowledge of building construction techniques, common building defects, failure causes, and required repairs.
• Excellent communication, organisation, caseload management, and vulnerable-customer support skills.

Nice to have

• Building or structural qualifications.
• Previous experience working from home.
