Head of Operations - Talbot (Insurance)

What you will do

• Create and deliver the Operations strategy, business plans, targets, and change priorities.
• Partner with business leaders to translate customer and operational needs into service, process, and control requirements.
• Design and embed an effective, cost-efficient operating model, including the use of third-party providers.
• Own outsourced service-provider relationships, including onboarding, performance management, monitoring, and service exits.
• Support procurement and vendor-management oversight in partnership with the CFO and Global Sourcing & Procurement Services.
• Represent Talbot at relevant Lloyd’s Market Association forums.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in insurance, specifically Lloyd’s or London Market insurance and reinsurance.
• Excellent knowledge of the Lloyd’s Market, its regulatory requirements, standards, and codes of practice.
• Detailed knowledge of operational excellence tools and techniques and extensive understanding of underwriting processes.
• Experience leading teams, developing talent, managing resources, and delivering performance to budget.
• Experience planning and implementing large-scale, complex projects involving multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
• Strong strategic planning, analytical, negotiation, relationship-building, communication, and leadership skills.
