Commercial Effectiveness Senior Consultant, Associate, Engagement Manager (Management Consulting)

Location: New York, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, Washington DC, Dallas, or Toronto; hybrid work requires at least three days per week in the local office or working onsite with clients. Willingness to travel 50% of the time, including internationally.

Base salary: $135,000–$225,000 per year, plus potential performance-based incentives.

What you will do

• Own significant workstreams or lead client projects, ensuring high-quality and timely analysis, insights, recommendations, and deliverables.
• Structure complex business problems, develop hypotheses, and conduct rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Advise clients on pricing, packaging, promotions, sales force and channel optimization, marketing effectiveness, and commercial strategy.
• Manage client relationships, facilitate discussions and interviews, and communicate recommendations through presentations and working sessions.
• Oversee consulting teams, coach junior colleagues, and support project planning, workflow management, and delivery quality.
• Contribute to business development, firm-building initiatives, proprietary tools, intellectual capital, and thought leadership.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of relevant experience in strategy consulting at a top-tier strategy consulting firm or similar organization.
• Experience with consumer topline growth, pricing strategy, or other commercial effectiveness topics is preferred.
• Strong strategic problem-solving, analytical, communication, facilitation, presentation, and client management skills.
• Track record of leading teams and delivering results in fast-paced, demanding environments.
• Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required for U.S. office locations; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with pricing systems, sales incentive systems, e-commerce platforms, digital go-to-market tools, agile datamarts, or commercial dashboards.
• Experience in commercial organization design, change enablement, training programs, or performance management.
• Background in developing frameworks, white papers, case studies, or other thought leadership.
