AV Engineer (Q-SYS)

Location: Seattle, Washington; primarily in-office, with employees working at the designated office approximately 80–100% of each month. Remote U.S. employees may work from any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions, and must identify their physical work location.

Salary: $98,900–$158,100 annual base pay for California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington, DC. The role is also eligible for equity awards.

What you will do

• Install, configure, commission, test, and maintain AV systems for conference rooms, events, and executive environments.
• Program Q-SYS systems using Q-SYS Designer, Lua scripting, and JSON integrations.
• Deploy and troubleshoot Dante, AES67, and Q-LAN AV-over-IP systems, including QoS, multicast, VLANs, and related IP networking.
• Provide break/fix support for production AV systems, Zoom Rooms, and collaboration platforms.
• Support live, hybrid, and remote events, including setup, operation, real-time troubleshooting, teardown, and virtual All-Hands events.
• Maintain as-built drawings, configurations, standard operating procedures, and AV reliability standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on AV installation, engineering, and support experience, preferably in a corporate or enterprise environment.
• Experience with Q-SYS Designer, control programming, Lua, and JSON.
• Strong AV networking skills, including Dante, AES67, Q-LAN, QoS, multicast, VLANs, and general IP networking.
• Experience installing AV hardware, providing break/fix support, and supporting live or hybrid events.
• Working knowledge of Zoom Rooms administration and troubleshooting, plus the ability to interpret AV schematics, rack layouts, and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to work primarily from the Seattle office or, for remote employment, from an eligible location in the United States.

• Q-SYS Level 2 certification.
• Audinate Dante Level 2 or higher certification.
• AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certification.
