Data Center Electrical Engineer V

Location: United States; fully remote outside San Antonio, TX, or hybrid in-office/remote for residents of San Antonio, TX

Salary: $148,011–$217,082.80 per year, depending on geographic market. Additional compensation may include annual bonuses or incentives, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical authority for electrical infrastructure across mission-critical data centers.
• Provide engineering leadership for utility infrastructure, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, transformers, PDUs, RPPs, busways, grounding, bonding, and BMS/DCIM systems.
• Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, incident response, infrastructure risk reviews, and reliability initiatives.
• Manage electrical capacity planning, load calculations, power utilization analysis, resiliency, redundancy, and operational risk.
• Define equipment specifications, evaluate products and technologies, and review electrical designs, submittals, technical documentation, and infrastructure standards.
• Support construction, installation, testing, commissioning, turnover, maintenance planning, and operational readiness for electrical infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen and eligible to work in the United States.
• 10+ years of experience supporting mission-critical data center environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of critical power systems, electrical distribution architecture, single- and three-phase systems, and electrical load calculations.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and applicable electrical and building codes.
• Experience with electrical drawings, construction documents, technical specifications, submittals, equipment operation and maintenance, and carrying designs through deployment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Visio.
