Corporate Development Contractor

Location: Hybrid in London, UK or New York City

Salary: $13,000–$15,000 per month

What you will do

• Support the VP, Corporate Development across the full M&A lifecycle, from origination and pipeline management through valuation, diligence, execution, and post-merger integration.
• Identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities, partnerships, and strategic investments.
• Lead early-stage opportunity assessments, including market analysis, strategic-fit evaluation, deal memos, and financial modeling.
• Partner with Finance and Legal on due diligence and integration planning.
• Monitor competitors, market developments, and industry trends and present actionable insights to leadership.
• Conduct buy/build/partner analyses and develop recommendations for new business opportunities.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or a related field, including direct M&A execution experience.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical, market research, and competitive analysis skills.
• Experience supporting due diligence, deal structuring, and post-merger integration workstreams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to manage ambiguity, multiple workstreams, and projects with high autonomy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience in music, creator tools, subscription/SaaS, creative, or entertainment industries.
• In-house corporate development experience at a high-growth technology or consumer company.
• Familiarity with product analytics and performance metrics.
• Experience using AI tools for research, modeling, or workflow execution.
• MBA.
