SCM Category Specialist (Electronics)

Location: Hybrid in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, United States. Candidates must already have permanent US work authorization permitting employment with hirify.global.

What you will do

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for electronic components, cables, and related products.
• Lead RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, contract management, and market analysis.
• Manage supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness, capacity, and reliability.
• Identify supply risks such as capacity constraints, long lead times, single-source dependencies, raw material shortages, and geopolitical risks.
• Drive cost reduction through competitive sourcing, value engineering, should-cost analysis, and supplier productivity initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning & Fulfillment, Quality, Logistics, and Operations on supply continuity, engineering changes, product transfers, and supplier development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, commodity management, or supply chain within manufacturing or an industrial environment.
• Experience sourcing PCBA, electronic components, cables, or similar technical commodities.
• Experience with supplier negotiations, relationship management, cost reduction, and supplier performance improvement.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience using SAP and Microsoft Excel.

Nice to have

• Experience reading engineering drawings, technical specifications, and bills of materials.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and complex or international supply chains.
• Experience in a global, highly engineered manufacturing environment.
