IaC & Automation Solution Architect

Location: Hybrid, with an expectation of working an average of 2 days per week from an HPE office

What you will do

• Design and develop automation and DevSecOps solutions for infrastructure, platforms, deployments, and operational workflows.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and related tools.
• Define reference architectures, design patterns, reusable frameworks, standards, and guardrails for automated provisioning and CI/CD integration.
• Make architectural decisions across application, infrastructure, integration, data, and security layers.
• Automate infrastructure and platform tasks through RESTful APIs, scripts, and custom modules.
• Lead technical discussions, guide execution, mentor team members, and collaborate with Development, Operations, Security, senior stakeholders, and customers.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of technical and architectural experience across software design, infrastructure automation, hybrid cloud platforms, and DevOps toolchains.
• Strong experience designing scalable, reliable, secure enterprise solutions and preparing end-to-end architecture diagrams.
• Hands-on expertise with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Python, Go, Ruby, Java, Bash, or PowerShell for automation development.
• Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, container lifecycle management, Linux administration, shell scripting, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, cloud platforms, bare-metal servers, SAN/NAS storage, networking, security, and enterprise business applications.
• Experience leading teams, solution pursuits, architecture reviews, roadmap planning, and technical mentorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK Stack.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, security, operators, Helm, GitOps, and deployment patterns.
