Account Executive – Corporate & Commercial (Insurance)

Location: Cairns, Australia; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office or onsite with clients

What you will do

• Maintain and grow personal relationships and a portfolio of corporate and commercial insurance business.
• Research accounts, analyze business needs, exposures, and loss experience, and develop risk solutions.
• Execute renewal and placement strategies with Placement, Advisory, and Client Executive stakeholders.
• Support presentations to prospective clients and develop solutions to win new business.
• Identify expansion opportunities, define custom solution strategies, and communicate sales targets.
• Attend industry events and conferences to build a professional network and represent the business.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in an insurance environment.
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of general business functions.
• Good problem-solving, prioritization, multitasking, and deadline-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.
• Appropriate approval to work in Australia is required.
• A Criminal & Bankruptcy check is required before commencing employment.

Nice to have

• Tier 1 or ANZIIF qualification.
• Experience managing complex account portfolios.
• Knowledge of business and organizational risk management.
• Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
