Director of Enterprise Cyber Security Architecture

Location: United States of America, with an average requirement of two days per week from an HPE office; salary locations include North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia

Salary: USD 170,000–412,500 annual base salary in North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a global team of enterprise security architects.
• Define and govern enterprise security architecture strategies, standards, blueprints, reference architectures, and design patterns.
• Represent security in enterprise architecture governance and the Architecture Review Board.
• Provide risk-based architecture guidance for major technology initiatives and transformational programs.
• Develop security architecture standards for AI, Generative AI, model development and deployment, autonomous agents, data protection, and AI governance.
• Drive adoption of Zero Trust, cloud-native security, platform security, identity-centric security, and security automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• At least 12 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity architecture, enterprise architecture, or related technology disciplines.
• At least 5 years of experience managing architecture teams or senior technical professionals.
• Deep expertise across multiple security domains and experience establishing architecture standards, governance processes, and technology roadmaps.
• Experience influencing large-scale technology decisions in complex global enterprises and engaging with architecture review boards or governance councils.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and executive communication skills.

Nice to have

• Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, SABSA, TOGAF, CCSP, CISM, or GIAC.
• Experience implementing security architecture in hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud environments.
• Experience supporting complex global enterprises.
