Cybersecurity Architect (AI)

Location: On-site Monday through Friday at hirify.global cybersecurity hubs in Alpharetta, GA; Columbus, OH; Berkeley Heights, NJ; Frisco, TX; Coral Springs, FL; or Omaha, NE. Approximately 10% travel is expected.

Salary: $127,500–$204,000 annually for employees in New Jersey and New York; ranges may differ by state.

What you will do

• Design, review, and govern enterprise cybersecurity architecture across identity and access management, network, cloud, and AI/automation domains.
• Produce Architecture Decision Records and Architecture Requirement Documents that translate business needs into secure, scalable designs.
• Partner with engineering teams to turn architecture concepts into actionable technical specifications.
• Assess emerging AI models and help protect applications from AI-driven attacks while enabling secure adoption of Copilot, Cloud Cowork, and ChatGPT.
• Provide specialty and backup coverage across network, cloud, AI, and security operations architecture.
• Communicate architecture decisions, trade-offs, and risk to technical teams and business leaders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of cybersecurity and technology experience, progressing from analyst or engineering roles into architecture; 10–12+ years for senior-level architecture roles.
• Enterprise architecture experience, including formal architecture documentation such as ADRs or ARDs.
• Deep expertise in at least one area: identity and access management, network security, cloud security, or AI security.
• Strong business judgment, concise communication skills, and the ability to translate technical risk into actionable recommendations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent professional or military experience.
• Must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience covering both workforce and customer identity within one identity and access management program.
• Experience securing AI tools such as Copilot, Cloud Cowork, or ChatGPT and understanding emerging AI models such as Mythos.
• Financial services or other highly regulated industry experience.
• CISSP, CISM, SailPoint, CCIE Security, or other relevant certifications.
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading cross-functional architecture reviews.
