Cybersecurity Architect (AI)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; travel required 10% of the time

Salary: $139,440–$217,875 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and communicate the multi-year cybersecurity strategy and enterprise security roadmap.
• Define target-state security architectures, reference architectures, and standards for enterprise, cloud, data, AI, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Lead secure AI strategy development, including governance models, control frameworks, architecture standards, and risk management approaches.
• Assess emerging cybersecurity threats, generative AI, large language models, autonomous agents, machine learning platforms, and related security risks.
• Advise leadership and cross-functional teams on cybersecurity investments, acquisitions, modernization, regulatory requirements, and technology decisions.
• Coordinate with security engineering, operations, risk, compliance, privacy, product security, infrastructure, application, data, and product teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, enterprise architecture, information security, or a related discipline.
• Experience developing enterprise security strategies, roadmaps, reference architectures, and security transformation programs.
• Strong knowledge of security architecture principles, core security fundamentals, and operational technology.
• Strong knowledge of AI technologies, AI governance frameworks, AI security controls, and risks associated with generative AI and machine learning systems.
• Experience applying cybersecurity regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise security transformation or modernization programs.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of NIST CSF, NIST AI RMF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, Zero Trust Architecture, or related standards.
• Experience in life sciences, healthcare, medical devices, or manufacturing.
• CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CRISC, GIAC, or an equivalent certification.
