Auto Punch Press Operator - Grade 18 (2nd Shift)

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri, United States of America; onsite, 2nd shift

Hourly pay: $22.70–$28.59, plus a 2nd- and 3rd-shift premium

What you will do

• Operate the lamination automatic punch press according to work instructions and safety procedures.
• Feed material through the straightener, feeder, and die while monitoring lubrication, press operation, loops, and scrap conveyance.
• Inspect parts for burrs, chips, slug marks, bent teeth, missing features, flatness, and other quality issues.
• Verify work orders, blueprints, inventory tags, coil numbers, and press release forms before production.
• Wire lamination stacks, complete red tags for nonconforming material, and move rejected parts to the designated area.
• Shut down and clean the press line, remove end-coil material, preserve the die for the Tool Room, and report safety incidents or near misses.

Requirements

• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods during an eight-hour production shift.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, work orders, blueprints, inventory tags, and shipping labels.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, electric pallet trucks and jacks, hoists, pneumatic equipment, and press controls.
• Ability to assist with press-line setup and clearing die jams while maintaining hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
• Ability to work regular attendance requirements and daily or weekend overtime, including short-notice overtime.
• Must follow hirify.global safety policies and use required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, cut-resistant gloves, and safety sleeves.
