Die Cutter Operator 2nd Shift (Print and Bindery)

Location: Cudahy, Wisconsin, United States; onsite, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM second shift

Salary: $20.00–$26.00 per hour, plus a $2.00 per hour second-shift differential and a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, and operate auxiliary binding and die-cutting equipment.
• Operate complex bindery machines, including perfect binders, folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and gluing machines.
• Coordinate multiple machine stations for vibrating, milling, roughening, gluing, covering, delivery, and stacking processes.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues and make adjustments using hand tools and specialized manufacturer tools.
• Direct the production crew and monitor quality, output, productivity, and dimensional accuracy.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of bindery machine setup, adjustment procedures, capabilities, and limitations.
• Experience handling different paper weights, sizes, types, and colors, including identifying moisture and curling issues.
• Ability to perform difficult machine adjustments using wrenches, screwdrivers, punches, knives, and specialized tools.
• Ability to read and interpret production instructions specifying machine operations and sequences.
• Ability to work onsite in Cudahy, Wisconsin, during the 2:00 PM–10:00 PM second shift.
