Software Dev Engineer – C++, Networking

Location: Hybrid, with an expectation of working approximately 2 days per week from an HPE office.

What you will do

• Design and develop control-plane software for platforms running the next-generation JUNOS Evolved networking infrastructure.
• Build software for networking infrastructure, including operating-system and network-related components.
• Design, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for enhancements and new products.
• Determine hardware compatibility and contribute to hardware design decisions where needed.
• Collaborate with experienced systems and software engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar field.
• 6–9 years of professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming and data structures.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems and hands-on Linux development experience.
• Good problem-solving skills, adaptability, and ability to work effectively in a team.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routers, and switches.
• Understanding of distributed computing systems and technologies.
