Senior Network Engineer (Robotics)

Location: San Carlos, CA (On-site)

Salary: $190,000 – $230,000 + Equity

hirify.global is building advanced humanoid robots designed to operate safely and effectively in home environments.

What you will do

• Own the core networking systems for robots, designing topologies that minimize latency for peer-to-peer and peer-to-server communication.
• Design and implement load balancing strategies to maximize CPU/GPU utilization across the robot fleet.
• Deliver seamless connectivity across multiple networks, including Wi-Fi and 5G.
• Build APIs and protocols for transmitting multimodal data at scale, including high-bandwidth video.
• Lead architecture decisions and set technical standards for the core robot stack.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in network engineering, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure.
• Proven track record of shipping network systems in production at large scale.
• Strong understanding of network fundamentals including TCP/IP, UDP, WebRTC, and video/audio protocols.
• Experience with wireless networking (Wi-Fi/5G) in mobile or embedded systems.
• Demonstrated ability to write production-grade C++.
• Must be able to work on-site in San Carlos, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or drones.
• Experience with video transport protocols such as WebRTC or MoQ.
• Background in edge computing or hybrid cloud/edge networking.
• Experience with multi-radio systems.
