Senior Crisis Management Specialist (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid role based in Essen or Hannover, Germany. Workation is available for up to 20 days per year within Europe.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the corporate crisis and emergency management system.
• Coordinate the activation and operation of the crisis management team, including decision-making, reporting, and escalation.
• Provide structured analysis, scenarios, and briefing materials during major disruptions, extreme weather, sabotage, and hybrid threats.
• Coordinate interfaces with authorities, disaster-control organizations, police, fire brigades, and other external stakeholders.
• Plan, execute, and evaluate crisis exercises and trainings.
• Align crisis management across business units, monitor implementation, and report on the current threat situation using OSINT-based analysis.

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in crisis management within a corporate or complex operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of crisis management frameworks, including ISO 22361 and ISO 22301, and relevant regulations.
• Experience working with authorities, crisis partners, and crisis management tools such as alerting systems.
• Basic knowledge of IT/OT systems, ideally in critical infrastructure environments, and a solid understanding of business operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Fluency in English and German is required. A valid Class B driver's license is required.
