Vice President & Chief Information Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid; work from the San Francisco or Washington, DC office 3 days per week. Occasional travel is required for client and site visits.

US national base salary range: $228,700–$285,900 USD per year, with potential short-term and long-term incentives, bonus, and equity.

What you will do

• Lead the multi-year enterprise information and cloud security strategy, including predictive AI defense and proactive threat forecasting.
• Own enterprise and third-party cyber risk, security policies, departmental budgets, personnel, and performance results.
• Advise business and technology teams on security, compliance, AI governance, secure machine learning pipelines, and protection of space and ground-station assets.
• Direct incident response, business recovery, security awareness, customer audits, and external security certifications.
• Manage and mature enterprise risk management and ISO 27001, ISO 42001, ISO 9001, and CMMC certification programs.
• Oversee physical security for manufacturing and R&D environments, global supply-chain risk, and international industrial security programs involving NDP-1, ITAR, EAR, and GSIA requirements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience and 8+ years of leadership experience.
• Executive experience leading diverse teams, setting expectations, delegating effectively, and developing managers.
• Deep information security expertise, including networking, web application architecture, cloud security, attack scenarios, reconnaissance, and exploitation frameworks.
• Experience with AWS and Google Cloud Platform security and operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain security topics such as the OWASP Top 10 to varied audiences.
• Ability to work from the San Francisco or Washington, DC office three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with adversarial AI attacks, model poisoning, and LLM supply-chain vulnerabilities.
• Government security clearance or national security experience.
• Red-team experience and experience in a public company environment.
• Track record of creating multi-year security roadmaps that anticipate technology disruptions.
